Create a Hand Print Flower
Here's an easy way to create a beautiful flower print that will mean the world to any mom.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 20 Minutes Plus Drying Time
Here's How:
- Coat child's palm including fingers with any color of tempera paint, except for green as that will be used for a stem.
- Place child's hand on the paper and lift off leaving the hand print. Stop with one or do a couple more - depending on how many flowers you want in your garden. Have a wet paper towel or baby wipe handy for easy clean-up of the hand.
- Taking green paint draw the stem coming off the bottom edge of the palm.
- Add in a few leaves using the brush or coat your child's index finger and press the finger off either side of the stem as the leaves.
- Allow the print(s) to dry or add in scenery - rolling hills, grass and a sky.
- Add the child's name, age, and date.
- After drying frame the print as a gift or use as the front of a homemade greeting card.
What You Need:
- Tempera paint in any bright color as the "flower" - I wouldn't go with green
- Green tempera paint for the stem and leaves of the "flower"
- Paper - any color you wish
- Wet paper towel or baby wipes
- Your child's hand and imagination
