There are so many different "mommy and me" classes available these days.
It is amazing what people come up with.
I want two things "programed" into my daughter's brain! Physical fitness and Music.
There is no need for my daughter to join in the rest of America being "fat", and although I did not succeed as a pianist, playing instrument as a child affected my life, in a good way.
The community centers offer some interesting classes for the babies and toddlers as well.
One class that caught my eye was "kindermusik".
Kindermusik is a music program for pre-schoolers.
They incorporate music and movements to stimulate the babies.
Some songs may gear towards social skills, mobility, visual, and it is just a great place for the baby and their parents to interact with one another.
You will also be surprised how your "fussy" baby is very social with other babies in the class.
As my doctor called it " survival instinct".
They know that the other babies won't hurt them-but I see them trying to poke each other's eyes and pulling on each other's hair-what is that all about? I highly recommend kindermusik as one of "mommy and me" classes.
They also offer a kit to become a kindermusik teacher, so if you can sing and you want to be a "work from home mom" it will be a great thing! It may be on the expensive side compared to community center classes, but after taking both classes, I feel my daughter has gained more from kindermusik.
She has a blast every single week!
