How to Make an Umbrella Stroller Into a Double Stroller
- 1). Purchase three stroller connectors. Typically, a single package will contain all three as that is how many you need to securely join the two strollers. As of spring 2010, Prince Lionhart brand appears to be the most readily available at retail outlets such as Toys R Us or Bed Bath and Beyond or online at Amazon.com or Nextag.com. The cost is $10 to $15 dollars a set.
- 2). Purchase two identical umbrella strollers; those with round tubing will work best with the connectors. It may be possible to use unidentical strollers as long as they are very close in size and design.
- 3). Line up the strollers side by side and attach the connectors. One attaches near the handles, one near the front wheels, and the last attaches near the rear wheels. When aligned properly they should easily click into a locked position.
- 4). To separate the strollers, pinch the lock tabs together to open the connectors.
