How to Change Meal Plans

    • 1). Look at your meal plan as soon as you decide to make a change. Your meal plan should list the ingredients you have on hand for the week, and this will give you an idea of what you have to work with.

    • 2). Choose a main ingredient from the options you have to work with, and base your meal around this. Cross off the main ingredient you've chosen from the meal plan, so you know later in the week that it's already been used.

    • 3). Choose your side dishes and drinks from the ingredients listed as available on the meal plan. Cross these off after you've used them, indicating these items are no longer available for later in the week.

    • 4). Write the new meal you've decided to prepare into the slot for that day, to let other members of the household know there has been a change in the weekly meal plan.
