How to Season Pots & Pans

    • 1). Place two oven racks in your oven so that the top one is low enough to put your pot or pan onto it.

    • 2). Turn the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

    • 3). Pour or scoop a few tablespoons of cooking oil into a small bowl.

    • 4). Dip a paper towel into the oil and rub down the pot or pan. Cover the entire pot or pan in oil.

    • 5). Place a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom oven rack to catch dripping oil.

    • 6). Place the pot or pan upside down on the top rack of the oven. Leave for one hour.

    • 7). Turn off the oven and allow the pot or pan to cool down.

    • 8). Repeat this process anytime to reinforce the coating.
