    • 1). Multiply your weight by 703. This is your numerator. For example, assume you weigh 180 pounds, then 180 pounds times 703 equals 126,540.

    • 2). Square your height in inches. This number is your denominator. In the example, assume your height is 72 inches, so multiplying it by 72 equals 5,184.

    • 3). Divide the numerator by the denominator to calculate your BMI. In the example, 126,504 divided by 5,184 equals 24.4.This is within the optimum BMI range.
