Be Proud as a Mom of Your Mom and Show it so She Knows It!
Mothers are our life giving force.
It is very simple indeed.
Not one of us would be without a mother.
This alone would give you reason to respect your mother.
To respect yourself as a mother (if you are one).
I think about my mother who had four kids before she was 28, including me and two still to come.
When I look back now and think of when I was twenty eight, I can't even imagine having had four children at that point! Mothers do the best they can, taking it one step at a time, often feeling one step behind where their kids are.
It is a hectic life.
As it was for our mothers too.
The pain, the worry, combined with the delights.
The scrutiny from others as you try to figure out what to do, everyone knowing it better than you do.
At least that is how it sounds, but isn't that often when talking about someone else's children? Be proud for being a mom, however you may feel about how you are doing.
Your kids wouldn't be here without you.
And most of them wouldn't trade for the alternative right now! Forgive yourself for anything that doesn't work out as you hoped, decisions you made, actions you regret.
And think of your mom with a little love if you have a relationship that is strained.
She was doing the best she could, too.
And if you have a great relationship enjoy it all the more! Mothersdays have come and gone, but know that you are cherished.
At all times of the year.
And if you don't have anyone around to spoil you, do it yourself! Be proud of yourself and of your mom and show it so she knows it!
