An Effective Neck Wrinkle Treatment would Feature Wakame Kelp Extract and COQ10

Looking for a safe and effective neck wrinkle treatment? That combination can be hard to find. Here's a review of the some of the compounds recommended by cosmetic companies.

Essential Oils
This is one of the most confusing terms. It brings to mind essential nutrients and moisturizing oils. The compounds are actually highly concentrated plant fragrances.

They are an element of aroma therapy. So, there could be some benefit for stress reduction if the right scent is chosen.

But, as far as reducing wrinkles, essential oils are ineffective. They might not be safe, either. Some people are allergic to them.

Hyaluronic Acid
This compound is naturally found in the skin, but the level decreases with age. Applying it directly has never proven to be beneficial for any purpose, but it is safe.

An effective alternative to help increase the level of hyaluronic acid within the skin is to use a cream containing extracts from wakame kelp. Wakame has been shown to inhibit the breakdown of hyaluronic acid. It also contains a number of nutrients that support the skin's moisture balance and improve its appearance.

COQ10
COQ10 could be a safe and effective neck wrinkle treatment. In clinical trials, it has been shown to reverse wrinkles caused by sun damage. The effect is due to the compounds antioxidant activity.

It's a good idea to do a little more research when you see this ingredient listed on the label. In order for it to be effective, the particles must be reduced in size. The nano-emulsion form of COQ10 provides the greatest benefits.

Tyrosine Inhibitors
I would recommend that you avoid these ingredients. They are supposed to stimulate the production of melanin, which would darken the skin's complexion.

That's not a good choice for a neck wrinkle treatment. It's hard to understand why a company would include it, but some do. Lighter, not darker skin looks younger.

Another problem with tyrosine inhibitors is that they can interfere with DNA repair. Cellular DNA is damaged by free radicals and other molecules. When that happens, the new cells are not exactly like the old ones. They can look more wrinkled or contain less protein.

One of the benefits of COQ10 is that it has been shown to repair DNA breaks. Combining it with tyrosine inhibitors simply doesn't make sense. But, if you do a little comparative shopping, you will sometimes see the ingredients listed side by side.

RIGIN
This is a proprietary ingredient and has proven to be an effective neck wrinkle treatment in clinical trials. It is composed of natural peptide complexes. The ingredient can be found in some of the better deep hydrating masks.

Things to Remember
The alternatives available at day spas and from cosmetic surgeons are all accompanied by risks. No procedure is 100% safe.

Topically applied treatments are safer, for the most part. But, it is always a good idea to evaluate all of the ingredients, not just the "active" components in a neck wrinkle treatment. Your skin's health is what's most important.
