Volleyball is a sport that prospers in Illinois, with numerous options for players at the club level. Club teams are ideal for kids who want to gain experience before they enter high school. Clubs also are valuable for high school players who want to continue to hone their skills. In many cases, clubs play a national schedule that offers tougher competition than players can get at the high school varsity level. - Sky High Volleyball operates out of Chicago's far northwest suburbs, with teams for girls ages 10 to 18 and boys ages 14 to 18. The program sends teams to inter-regional tournaments and claims that 98 percent of its athletes who make it to the senior level go on to earn college scholarships.
