Can I Put Hair Curlers in My Son's Long Hair?
- Before you can begin putting the hair curlers into the hair, you will need to make sure it has been prepared properly. To start you will need to dampen the hair. Slightly wet hair will allow your hair to hold the curls. Once the hair is slightly wet make sure to brush it out, because tangled hair being put into curlers will result in tangled curls. After curling the hair, section the hair off into one or two inch sections by clipping the hair together with hairpins.
- Now that your hair is all prepared, it is time to begin curling it. Set the hair curler at the tip of the section of hair. Wrap the hair underneath the curler and curl it up. Clamp the hair and the curler once it has reach your head (or the desired length). Continue this process with all the sections of hair you have sectioned off. Once completed you will want to spray your entire head with a settling spray. This will help your hair hold the curls placed into it.
- Typically it is best to do your curlers first thing in the morning, then work the rest of your daily routine and errands (such as breakfast, get dressed, brush teeth, etc.). This will give your hair more time to configure to the curls. To remove the hair from the curlers, you will need to unclamp the curlers and curl them off. The hair will bounce back up into a curly appearance. Once all the curlers have been removed, you may want to spray the hair with hair spray to give the curls a more substantial hold.
