How to Freeze Lemongrass
- 1). Rinse the lemongrass under running water to remove and dirt or debris.
- 2). Cut off the fibrous ends of the lemongrass and slice what remains into roughly 4-inch pieces.
- 3). Place the lemongrass pieces onto a metal baking sheet in a single layer.
- 4). Place the pan in the freezer and allow the lemongrass to freeze completely. Lemongrass is thin and will freeze very quickly.
- 5). Place the frozen lemongrass in a sealable plastic bag. Push all the air out and store the bag in the freezer. Frozen lemongrass will last for six months in the freezer.
