    • Many doctors recommend a good multi-vitamin. The American Cancer Society mentions B-complex in connection with energy and depression. Iron supplements can build up blood before and after an operation.

    Drug Addiction Recovery

    • The body of a drug addict can often be depleted of needed nutrients, and nutrition may have been neglected. Food high in nutritional value is needed. Avoid coffee and other high-caffeine drinks. Try to eat whole grains, and by all means, avoid any alcohol.
