Makeup Kit Essentials
Think with me. Almost every woman I know has her own set of makeup kit. It is almost, if not always, indispensible for every woman. It need not be that fancy black box you carry with various shades of eyeshades and lipsticks that you never really like. It can just be a box of your favorite choices put together, don't you agree? So, what are some of the basic necessities that your makeup kit should contain? After some consideration, here is my list.

- Foundation
- Moisturiser
- Concealer
- Blusher / bronzer
- Eye-shadow
- Eye-liner
- Mascara
- Lipstick / Lip-gloss / Lip-liner
1. A small mirror
It is almost self-explanatory that every girl needs to have this essential piece. You won't want to leave it this out.
2) Foundation
The Foundation is the base of good make-up. If you mess this up, whatever else you do will be no good. I personally prefer mineral or powder based foundations. Avoid the liquid ones as they make the skin look cakey. The keyword is BLEND.
3) Moisturiser
If you are out in the sun all day long and your friends suddenly ask you to join them for a drink, surely you won't want your skin to look dry. Well, you can make sure by having a moisturizer ready, so that you can dab on your face before you meet them.
4) Concealer
Bad skin day? Well that's exactly when a concealer comes in handy. It hides those small ugly blemishes and the pimples that tend to crop up without a warning.
5) Blusher / bronzer
Personally, I prefer the powder based ones. Make sure that you have a brush along with a blush and bronzer. It's especially useful when you are joining a party.
6) Eye-shadow
For the eye shadows, preferably, your eye shadow pallet has two or more than two colors. It gives you an option to blend colors. Also, if you have both a lighter shade and a darker one, you can have the option of the color depending on time of the day.
7) Eyeliner
Carry the basic black eyeliner that can be perfect for any occasion.
8) Mascara
Mascara adds an X-factor to any face and it is an absolute essential in your make up kit. In fact, mascara and lip gloss can also be daily necessities for the ladies. Consider this: you can do without a lipstick, but not without a lip-gloss. Similarly, you can do without eyeliner, but not without mascara. Mascara is definitely in the must-have list.
9) Lipstick, Lip-gloss and Lip-liner
A lipstick is also a great accessory that ladies should carry. Try this: wear a nude shade to a funeral, brown to your office, maroon to a simple party or red to a wedding. You can even add a lip-gloss on it to give it more permanence and shine.
Define your lips with a lip liner to give a more definite look. It makes your make-up seem more polished and complete and it defines your lips by giving it a definite shape.
Lip-gloss is perfect to add little shine to your lips because it instantly sets the note for a night out.
