Incorporating a Workout Into Daily Life

33
It sometimes may hard or even impossible to incorporate an actual workout into your daily life.
Let's face it, we have all stayed in the office until 8 PM to come home only to hastily scarf dinner down before you collapse on the couch.
When and where can you fit the time to do some exercising? There are simply things you can do that will only take a few minutes at a time but can definitely help stay healthy when a real workout is not on the horizon for a few days.
Stretching first thing in the morning is one of the best things you can do.
Not only will it help you wake up and shake off the slumber, it is also a great introduction to yoga.
The stretching will help get you ready for the day and get your blood circulation really going.
You're well on your way to reaping the benefits and being a pro at yoga.
If you arrive at the office and must sit at a desk all day, there are still things you can do to prevent yourself from sitting all day.
If you need to go to the bathroom, walk around the long way.
If it is time for a coffee break, taking the stairs to the cafeteria and back is already a form of exercise, rather than taking a crowded elevator.
Instead of sending an email to a coworker, walk to their desk instead.
It will also give you a chance to say a quick hello face to face! If your office isn't located too many floors up, take the stairs! Think about, if there are 50 stairs between you and your office, that's at least 100 stairs a day (back and forth), that's over 500 stairs a week, and 2,000 stairs a month! If the weather is nice, head out for a walk for 10 minutes.
Not only will it clear your head and give you fresh energy to tackle the rest of your day, you are also doing exercise along the way.
When you get home at the end of the day and the last thing you want is to be killing yourself on the treadmill for 40 minutes, try a quick workout.
A good 10 minute cardio workout will get your body going and those calories burning! Follow up with 10 minutes of some Wii Fit games to keep you entertained, and you've already done 30 minutes of exercise without even noticing.
Combine that with all the stairs you have taken at work and all the walking around you have done, that's pretty good! In addition to incorporating exercise into your daily routine, make sure you're eating healthy so that you have enough energy to get you through the day.
Make sure you have a wide array of fruits and vegetables from all the bright and rich coloured foods.
If you're having a hard time getting all the servings, consider a supplement that can provide you with a great boost.
A fruit and vegetable supplement is great for those days you don't eat 8-10 servings of fruits and veggies.
On top of this, every adult should be taking a good multivitamin.
This is something I studied in school and highly endorse.
I also endorse high quality and tested vitamins...
something I've taken for years and even through my pregnancy.
Having enough energy is important to achieving your goals -- and incorporating exercise in your daily routine will also boost your energy.
In conclusion, when it is one of those days or weeks when a full workout is not really on the horizon, there are still many things you can do to keep your body movie and burning those calories and fat.
Something as simple as stretching for 5 minutes in the morning can make a great start to the day! Instead of going through the drive through for your coffee, park and walk into the café.
Your short walk there and back including the standing in line is already better than just sitting in your car! Walk at work as much as possible, and follow-up with short but powerful workouts at home and you'll be surprised at how much exercise you can fit in to your day.
