Hi, I'm Caile Noble, celebrity hairstylist, and today I'm going to show you how to dry your hair to add bounce. If you are like Vanessa and have a little bit finer more limp hair then you're definitely going to want to try to get as much bounce out of your blow dry as possible. In order to do so you're going to want to use some product and a few tips that I'm going to show you to achieve that bouncy look. Today, we're going to be using the Garnier Fructis Sky High Volume Mousse. Using a product like this mousse is going to let you achieve that bounce and fullness at the root so that your hair appears full and luscious. Now you can apply mousse to dry or wet hair. Although when applying it to dry hair, sometimes it can get a bit sticky. So today I'm going to just dampen down the hair a wee bit so that it's not saturated but just offers us a little bit more room to work with the mousse. So I'm just going to kind of go through the hair and wet it down a little. Like I said, keeping it pretty minimal, just enough to dampen the hair so that the product absorbs a little better. Once you have the hair dampened down, you'll be able to go in and start applying the mousse. I'm going to section the hair off adding the mousse right at the roots. Sectioning the hair always helps to work a little cleaner. Apply the mousse right in at the root of the hair through the mids. You're not going to really need to go too much through the hair. Once you have the product in the hair, I often like to grab a little flat brush and just kind of brush it through insuring that you get nice even coverage through those roots. Once you've done that you're going to want to go in and just maybe section off the hair so that you can get nice full lift. So using a tail comb I'm just going to kindly comb it away. So at home what you're going to want to do is take the nozzle off your blow dryer. Now Vanessa is going to demonstrate by flipping her head upside down and we're going to just rough dry her hair with our fingers simultaneously pulling the hair out straight from the head. This isn't often the most comfortable position to be in but do know that blow drying your hair upside down like this is not only a quick but effective way to get that root lift. Now once you feel your hair is about 95% dry, that's when you're going to stop the blow dryer, flip your head up and wow, look at all the bounce that we have in the hair. Now what I suggest is you go in with your blow dryer and a medium size round brush and just go through polishing off the ends and completing the drying process. You may want to section off the hair if you'd like or you can just kind of go in and grab pieces, just lightly through the ends, wrapping the hair around the brush and kind of heating it up in place so that when you pull the brush out it will give it a nice polish and just a little soft bend in the hair as you can see there. So now that we're finished you can see that Vanessa's hair is full, shiny and bounce. And that's exactly what we were trying to achieve. And all it took was a little bit of mousse at the roots, a little rough drying upside down and a simple polish at the end with a medium size round brush. That's how you dry hair and add bounce. I'm Caile Noble and thank you for watching.
