Homemade Masks
- 1). Blend the oatmeal and oat bran together on one bowl. Use a fine grind to create a powdery texture.
- 2). Add the white clay to the ground oats and whisk the ingredients together with a wire whisk.
- 3). Transfer the contents to a Mason jar or airtight container. Store the mask base in a cool, dry place. The mask should last up to two months.
- 1). Treat oily skin by adding ½ tablespoon of crushed pineapple and ½ tablespoon of honey to 1 tablespoon of mask base. Mix the ingredients into a paste.
- 2). Treat dry skin by adding 1 teaspoon crushed rose petals and 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt to 1 tablespoon of mask base. Mix the ingredients into a paste.
- 3). Treat combination skin by adding a quarter of an avocado and ½ tablespoon of honey to 1 tablespoon of mask base. Mix the ingredients into a paste.
- 4). Apply the paste to your face, avoiding the eyes. Allow the mask to sit for 10 minutes or until it starts to dry.
- 5). Rinse your face with warm water until all of the mask is gone. Rinse your face with cool water to tighten the pores. Blot your face dry with a clean towel.
