What Causes Vaginal Yeast Infections?

48
The claims made about the causes of a yeast infection are numerous and sadly there's a lot of misinformation out there.
For example, there are some that believe it is transmitted only sexually.
Although this is possible and does occur it is just one of the many reasons for becoming infected.
Anyone who thinks they may have developed a yeast infection needs to first of all stop panicking.
This condition although uncomfortable can usually be easily treated.
The thing to bear in mind is that we all, male and female have yeast naturally living on us, inside and out.
Under normal conditions the yeast (candida) although present doesn't cause us any problems and is kept under control by our natural protective bacteria.
However this balance can be affected by other factors such as the use of antibiotics and this can lead to an overgrowth of yeast and all sorts of medical conditions.
In recent years more and more medical professionals have accepted that a candida overgrowth may be the root cause of some seemingly unrelated conditions.
This is attributed to what is referred to as "leaky gut syndrome" and put in very simple terms this is a condition where large spaces can develop between the cells of the gut wall lining, allowing toxins, bacteria and food to leak into the bloodstream.
This condition also reduces the efficiency of the intestine to absorb necessary nutrients and minerals we all need for a healthy existence.
Anyone suffering from this condition may well present symptoms such as: Abdominal Pain, Constant Fatigue, Hair Loss or Vision Problems, Joint Pain and Bloating or Indigestion to name just a few.
Sadly many mainstream doctors still refuse to acknowledge the condition exists and and are unable to diagnose the patients list of symptoms effectively.
