One way of controlling obesity is dieting and judging by the pulling power of 'low fat' and 'no fat' foods, most people are convinced that eating fat makes you fat.

But... eating fat does not make you fat. It is, in fact, your body's inability to burn it that makes you fat. Fat burning is regulated by a hormone called Leptin.

What is Leptin? Leptin is a hormone thought to play an important role in the control of body weight by reducing appetite and increasing energy consumption. The hormone is tied closely to regulating energy intake and expenditure, including appetite, metabolism and hunger.

The Link Between Leptin Resistance and Obesity Obesity is associated with Leptin resistance and a decreased transport of Leptin across the blood-brain barrier. Leptin resistance is a key reason why many people gain weight or struggle to lose weight fast when they want to.

Lose Weight Fast the Leptin Way

There are several ways to manage Leptin resistance.

First, a supplement called, Irvingia garbonensis, has a potent inhibiting effect on an enzyme manufactured in the fat storing cells, assisting the conversion of blood glucose to fat. It has some other positive effects that help weight loss.

Second, removing processed grains and refined sugars seems tough, because they are everywhere. Yes, this includes white rice, white pasta, and white bread. These are processed grains that turn into "sugar" and raise glucose and insulin the same as sucrose, fructose, or any other "-ose."

More than 50% of the sugar you eat comes into your body from hidden sources. These include sauces, breads, soups, canned foods, fruit juice, lunch meats, pizza, crackers and yogurt.
