Pregnancy is one of the most desired phases of a woman's life. Your body begins to change with the growing child within you and unfortunate for some this can cause some unpleasantness as well. This fits in well with general nutritional guidelines for pregnancy, which advise eating high fiber foods such as whole-grain breads, cereals, pasta, rice, fruits, and vegetables. But while starchy carbs may be easiest to keep down, don't neglect your protein needs.

But you don't need to spend all day hunched up in front of the toilet, as we tell you some simple yet effective ways to deal with the sickness and queasiness. Firstly, there are the general remedies - which include getting lots of sleep at night, napping throughout the day (though not immediately after eating), avoiding warm places (since the heat triggers the feeling of nausea), getting out of bed slowly in the morning, and eating dry cereal or even plain crackers, before you get out of bed.
