Facial Mask Application

• 1). Cleanse your face and neck thoroughly with warm water and facial cleanser. Use gentle circular motions to massage the cleanser into the skin. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water; allowing facial cleanser to dry on the face may cause irritation or excessive drying of the skin. After rinsing, dry with a soft cotton towel. Don't rub, as rubbing may cause skin damage. Instead, gently pat with the towel until your face and neck are completely dry.
  
  
• 2). Check the skin for infections or irritations. The Aloe Mask should not be applied if the skin is sunburned or if there are any cuts or wounds. If your skin is extremely sensitive, you may need to test the Aloe Mask before applying it to the entire face. Apply a small amount of the mask to the skin on the back of your neck. After 20 minutes, rinse the product off and wait 24 hours to see if a reaction occurs.
  
  
• 3). Apply a mild toner to the face and neck. Soak a cotton ball in toner and swipe it across your forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and neck. Allow the toner to air dry.
  
  
• 4). Apply Body Shop's Aloe Mask to your face and neck. Use your fingers to scoop up small amounts of product and apply directly to the skin. Use gentle motions to spread the mask across your face and neck. Massage it in with gentle, circular motions. Let it sit on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes. If your skin becomes irritated before the time is up, rinse immediately.
  
  
• 5). Rinse your face and neck with warm water to remove the mask. It may be necessary to rinse several times. Use only water; it is not necessary to use facial cleanser at this point. Once you've rinsed completely, gently blot the skin dry with a soft cotton towel.
  
  
• 6). The Body Shop directs users to apply the Aloe Mask once per week.
