Which Type of Hair Transplant Is Best for Baldness?

37
There are two types of hair transplants that are performed for baldness. One is called FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) or Strip Method of graft harvesting and other is known as FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). FUT method was performed in earlier stages of transplantation when advanced hair punches were not developed. It leaves a linear scar on donor parts of a patient where from a strip of skin was removed surgically for graft collection. The linear scar was developed after stitching of two departed skin layers that were usually present on back of head. This procedure is also performed in rare hospitals as it cheaper than an advanced procedure of FUE technique. FUE technique requires punches for graft collection and its cost is higher than a FUT procedure. The punches used for it are expensive that ultimately makes the procedure costlier. Bleeding, scarring, and stitching however had made FUT procedures unpopular. An FUT procedure however takes less time for graft collection, but it requires dissection of the strip to separate the intact grafts.
An FUE procedure is considered as best option for baldness treatment. It is done without surgery to cut off skin from donor part as well as stitching to join the skin. Bleeding does not occur during its procedure and there is no possibility of appearing a linear and permanent scar on back of scalp. Moreover, density of hairs does also not affected at donor part as one graft is taken from a group of five to six hairs. All these qualities of an FUE procedure have made is most popular and handy procedure for baldness and hair restoration. This procedure is also useful to deal with hair loss or thinning on several hairy features like eyebrows, eyelashes, mustaches, and beard. Body hair transplant is performed where a patient does not contain donor parts on his/her head. Sometimes beard and chest hairs are also transplanted. Scars or wounds that are formed on the hairy features are successfully mended to have naturally growing hairs on it.
In conclusion, if anybody faces baldness, he/she should take hair transplantation through FUE procedures that are quite less invasive and show good natural appearance. These procedures are painless and without strip surgery. Recovery time for it is also minimum. An FUE procedure by a robotic machine is more expensive than a manual procedure. During a robotic procedure, graft collection is completed through a robotic machine giving it commands through a computer. Hair transplant cost depends on number of grafts or time taken to complete the procedure.
