Test your readiness for change.
If you are ready to change your health habits for instance, ask yourself these questions: - How satisfied are you with this area right now? - Do the pros outweigh the cons? - How much are your dreams or desires motivating you to take action there now? - Rate your current emotional or physical pain or stress level with this area of your life now.
- Rate your current or near foreseeable future amount of crisis/loss (that may motivate you to change.
) - Is now a good time for focusing on this area of your life? - Are you prepared to move forward with this change no matter what the responses from others? - How in place or ready are the resources and support systems needed to help you make and sustain this change? If you can answer affirmatively for most of these, you are ready for change.
If not look to other areas of your life.
Even if you have strength in an area, if you improve in any area of self care, everything improves.
Quit delaying your peace and happiness.
Take stock, do what you are ready and prepared to do and what needs to happen will happen.
