Often women pay too much attention on beautifying their face. They use the best of the products including makeup, sunscreens, eyeliners, moisturizers, cleansers etc. But, they forget that their hands and feet are equally important when it comes to beautiful looks. Hence, manicure and pedicure is what you need in addition to the regular facial massage. The whole idea of doing pedicure and manicure is to relax the hand and feet muscles and rejuvenate apart from making them look soft.   During summers, pedicure is often required because women wear open toed shoes and put their best foot forward.

Spa vs. Salon
Going to spa and getting the manicure and pedicure done is the best indulgence in the world.  Your feet and hands are beautifully pampered at the spa. However, if your budget does not permit, you should avoid going to spas, instead choose a humble salon across your street. The salons are also capable of providing the satisfactory care to your feet and hands. If you are getting the pedicure and manicure treatment for the first time, it is advisable to go to spa, if you can stretch your budget.

Manicure and Pedicure At Home

At that time, it is advisable to care for your feet and hands at home.  All you need is some basic manicure and pedicure tools, nail polish and half an hour of your time and a great degree of enthusiasm.  Manicure and pedicure tools include nail clipper, nail polish, cotton swabs, cuticle pusher, pumice stone, gentle brush, nail filer, etc. In addition to that you need exfoliating scrub, Epsom salt in case of pedicure and liquid hand soap in case of manicure, moisturizing lotion, warm water and a plastic basin with a clean towel.

Procedure for Pedicure and Manicure
You need to remove nail polish and soak your feet or hands in warm water for about 15 minutes and remove the cuticles using pusher and the dead skin with the pumice stone. Trim and file your nails with the clipper and apply the nail paint.

French Manicure
If you want to avoid changing your nail paint frequently, give yourself a French manicure, which was discovered by Jeff Pink, the founder of ORLY, when he was in Paris, the capital of fashion.  French manicure involves the application of nail paint in natural colors such as pink or beige color in the body of the nail with the white tip. French manicure requires special skills at the time of applying white tip. Therefore, it is highly recommended get it done from a professional for the first time.
