Suede

• 1). Brush off any dirt or debris with a soft-bristled nylon brush.
  
  
• 2). Moisten a sponge with warm water and dampen the beer stain. Allow the shoes to dry.
  
  
• 3). Sprinkle cornmeal over the surface of the stain. Rub it in gently with a dry towel using a circular motion. Allow the cornmeal to sit for five minutes.
  
  
• 4). Brush the cornmeal off the shoes with a soft-bristled nylon brush.
  
  

Finished leather

• 1). Brush off any dirt or debris with a soft-bristled nylon brush.
  
  
• 2). Rinse the stain with warm water. Allow the shoes to dry.
  
  
• 3). Mix together 1/8 tsp. of mild dish soap with 1 quart of warm water.
  
  
• 4). Moisten a towel with the warm soapy water and gently rub the stain using a circular motion.
  
  
• 5). Rinse the shoes with cool running water. Allow them to air dry.
