Homemade Wind Screen for an Alcohol Stove
- 1). Use the tin snips to cut off the tops and bottoms from the soda cans.
- 2). Use the tin snips to split open one side of each of the soda cans. This will create two curved pieces of metal.
- 3). Flatten the metal on your work surface. Rub over them with the wood block until they are flat. You create two flat metal pieces.
- 4). Connect the two flat metal pieces to one another to create a single flat metal sheet by placing the epoxy putty on one side of each flat metal piece . Fold the edges of the metal sheet over with the pliers. This produces a dull edge around the perimeter of the metal sheet, keeping the windscreen from cutting you.
- 5). Shape the metal sheet into a circle that will fit over your alcohol camp stove. This finishes the project, and the windscreen for your alcohol stove can now be deployed for use in the field with your stove.
