Oily skin can be attributed to many factors. Some of these factors are cosmetics, environment, age and diet. Hormonal imbalance can cause oily skin. It can also be hereditary. Although oily skin can cause the skin to look greasy and shiny, it has also positive effect on it. Oily skin tends to develop wrinkles slowly compared to normal skin. Home treatments for oily skin is available and highly recommended. You can keep your skin oil-free by washing it several times a day with cold milk. Remove the dead skin cells and soften your skin by using raw papaya pulp. Minimize the oil on the skin my applying cold grated cucumber on the skin for fifteen minutes. Do this twice a week. Remove the excess oil by allowing it to be absorbed by witch hazel that is dabbed on the skin. This will make your skin look soft and fresh.
