How to Shave Your Legs to Stay Smooth
- 1). Change your razor frequently. Choose a high-quality disposable razor. Moisture strips can help protect your delicate legs from nicks, cuts and burns.
- 2). Wet the skin of both legs to soften the hair.
- 3). Scrub your legs gently with an exfoliant to remove the surface layer of dead skin cells. Rinse well.
- 4). Smooth a thick layer of shaving cream over the skin you will be shaving. Men's or women's shaving cream will work equally well. In a pinch, you can use hair conditioner instead.
- 5). Sweep the razor in long strokes from your ankle to your knee. Take your time and be careful. Shaving against the growth pattern of the hair will allow for a close, clean shave.
- 6). Rinse the razor under running water after each stroke. Rinse your legs when you have shaved them fully.
- 7). Moisturize your legs with lotion before drying them.
