How to Remove Nail Polish Remover From Wood Tables
- 1). Clean up any excess spilled nail polish remover from the tabletop using an old towel.
- 2). Sand over the damaged area of the tabletop with very fine sandpaper, until all traces or discoloration from the nail remover have gone. Ensure that you sand with the grain of the wood, not against it.
- 3). Clean and wipe off all dust or sanding particles from the tabletop with a brush and rag.
- 4). Apply the appropriate color stain to the damaged tabletop surface area with a clean brush, or a stain pen. Wait for the stain to dry (usually six hours or more), and apply the appropriate tabletop finishing (polyurethane, wax) using a brush or rag.
