Eight Ways to Quickly Center and Balance Your Energy
1.
Left Nostril Breathing - This may sound a little strange, but it's a practice from Kundalini Yoga that literally, you can do anytime, anywhere and get great results.
With your right palm facing to the left, place your thumb on your right nostril so that you can only breathe in and out of your left nostril.
Keeping your mouth closed, breathe deeply in and out of your left nostril 20 times.
You'll feel the calming effects after just 1 inhale and exhale! 2.
Do TruAwareness - TruAwareness is a unique process that gives you insight and clarity as well as an emotional release.
Use it the next time you fell stressed or overwhelmed or just need insight or clarity.
3.
Get out into Nature - Nature offers natural healing and centering benefits.
You have to actually be out in nature to reap them, though.
So when weather and location permits, get into a grassy area and take your shoes and socks off so that you are barefoot in the grass.
(Sitting or lying down on a towel is fine.
) Sit down in the grassy area for at least 15 minutes (though preferably longer) so you can physically connect with Mother Earth.
She has a unique way of cleansing and detoxing the stress from your mind and body.
If you have access to a natural, outside water source such as a lake, stream or ocean, sitting on the ground, next to the water source is also helpful.
Also, the next time you take a walk or a run, skip the gym and find a path outside, instead.
You'll find your creativity greatly enhanced.
4.
Energy Breathing - Breathe in deeply for a count of 5, then hold that breath for a count of 15.
Exhale the same breath for an even count of 10.
You'll notice a balancing and energizing effect.
5.
Acupressure points - This is a movement from my All You've Ever Known DVD.
There are 2 acupressure points about one handwidth below your collar or clavicle bone.
They are in the middle of each side, or half way between the side of your body and the middle of your body.
When you start pressing, you'll notice they have a sensitivity to them.
Rub them in either direction for 10 -15 seconds and you'll notice a clearing and balancing sensation.
6.
More Acupressure Points - This is another movement from my All You've Ever Known DVD.
On the outside of each hand, there is another acupressure point halfway between the first knuckle of your pinky and your wrist bone.
Keep one hand vertical and the other hand palm up while you hit your hands together at those acupressure points.
Again, you'll notice a clearing and balancing sensation.
7.
Neck rolls - Neck rolls are an instinctive move for headache sufferers and there's a good reason why.
Neck rolls increase circulation and blood flow to your brain which, incidentally, releases stress and also increases your creativity.
Roll your neck, starting with your chin on your chest and rotating to the right with your ear to your shoulder, then your head to your back and then your left ear to your left shoulder and back to your chin on your chest.
If this isn't possible, come as close as you can to this level of flexibility.
If your neck or shoulder movements are restricted due to pain or an injury, then only do what you can, even if this means you are drawing circles in the air with your nose.
Rotate your head 10 times to the right and then 10 times in the opposite direction.
8.
Entertain Positive Outcomes - Take a few moments to visually and emotionally entertain positive outcomes to every possible scenario in your life.
Literally, every one.
From your ideal weight or figure to your finances to your health and your love life, invest a few precious moments visualizing best possible outcomes.
Aside from centering your energy, you'll also be connecting yourself with higher levels of creativity.
