When Should A Woman Start Using An Anti-Wrinkle Cream?
Women are always thinking of the future when it comes to staying young and beautiful. It's kind of hard not to. We live in a society that seems to favor those who are extra beautiful. Pictures of beautiful women are everywhere and beauty products are advertised everywhere. Let's not forget that men seem to pay extra attention to the beautiful ones.
One of the first things that comes up on a womans mind is wrinkles. Many women start thinking about them in their early twenties. They want to know how they can get a head start on keeping them at bay. In this article were going to take a look at what you should be doing at your current age to reduce wrinkles.
If Your In Your 20's...
At this point you really don't need any anti-wrinkle creams or treatments. You won't see any real benefits from them and some of them may do more harm then good. What really is important is your lifestyle. Getting enough sleep, keeping alcoholic beverages to a minimum, and avoiding excessive tanning is all very important. These are things that can show their damage as time goes by.
A good cleanser and night time treatment will help. However, the thing you will benefit from the most is a good moisturizer. A good moisturizer is where you should put the most of your skin care budget towards.
If Your In Your 30's...
No matter how hard you try to avoid wrinkles you will eventually get them. Once you are in your thirties you will start to notice some fine lines and flaws around your eyes. This all can be contained within reason.
At this point you should be exfoliating your skin at least once per week. This helps get rid of dead skin and dead layers. This alone can help your skin look more vibrant. You will also need to get a little more aggressive with moisturizing. As you age the skin tends to get drier. Moisturizers that contain vitamin C and plenty antioxidants are very important. Green tea is a great antioxidant.
If Your In Your 40's
If you didn't look after yourself when you were younger you will start to see the damage now. As you hit 40 one the biggest problems will be sun damage and keeping your skin moist.
The truth is that your 40's are not that different then your 30's. You just have to get more aggressive. Your going to need more moisture. I recommend that you try two different types of moisturizers with different ingredients. This way you can get the variety that your skin needs. You can use one moisturizer one day another then next. Don't mix them!
Exfoliating will become more important and you may want to consider a chemical peal if you have any severe damage. You may also want to start looking at a wrinkle cream and some eye cream if those bags are starting to show.
If Your 50 or older...
This is when allot of women start to feel like giving up or start to consider more extreme measures (Botox, Face lifts, Acupuncture). Some women may have already experimented with more extreme measures.
What this boils down to is that you can still keep the basic things covered. If you don't keep the basics covered then things will just get worse. Make sure you protect yourself form the sun, make sure your skin is getting vitamins C and E, and good antioxidants. There are also some good chemical peals out there that can help you out a great deal.
