Hey. It's Rosie Battista, Sleeping Naked After 40. If you want feel good in your body and you want to feel good about your body, I mean, you've got to show up for your body. You've got to move your body, I mean, just like you have to brush your teeth, you have to move your body. If you want to turn on the music and dance, that's fine. If you wan to do a standing leg raise with a band, that's even finer. And, that's what I'm going to show you how to do today. So, these guys, that you can buy in any convenience store, well, not convenience store, but in any, like, department store or exercise store. And, we're going to wrap it around something that's really secure. And, I wrap mine around this gym pole over here. And, so I have one end tied and one end to put my foot in. Okay, so I'm going to stick my heel in this little part of the band here so it's nicely in there. And I want to have a little bit of resistance here until the band is a little bit taut but I still have room to pull it. And so, when this leg is gentle, my knee is bent slightly, I'm soft, my posture is good, all in alignment, my shoulders are back, my neck is relaxed, I'm smiling. And, I have a chair here that I can hold on to just in case I get a little wobbly but, if you can try it without, that's good too. Alright. So, my whole point here is working my back of my leg up into my glut so when I push this leg back, oh, baby, I feel it right here. I'm going to push back. I'm going to push back and breathe into that because that feels mighty fine. At least, I'm going to this for about 12 times before I switch legs. Now, I switch, put the heel in, keep it little taut. Again, I have my chair just for stability just in case I get wobbly and I'm going to push back for 12. I'm slightly forward, my abs are tight, my chest is lifted, my shoulders are back,, my neck is relaxed, inventory of the whole body. And so, what I'm focusing on is just that one little spot, my leg and my glut and, push back and push back.
