    Creating the Perfect Froth

    • In order to froth soy milk, pour the milk into a small, preferably metal pitcher. Place the steam wand below the surface of the milk and move the pitcher back and forth in a continuous motion. The foam will rise and appear creamy. Once you have created the amount of froth needed, submerge the wand entirely into the pitcher to steam the remaining soy milk.

    Espresso and Coffee Drinks

    • Espresso drinks are a classic vehicle for steamed and frothed soy milk. Any at-home barista can create their favorite coffee shop drinks with a little know-how. A cappuccino is made with half milk and half milk froth, although this percentage can change depending on a person's preference. A latte follows the same preparation as a cappuccino, but instead the foam is only on top of the drink, while the rest is soy milk. Adding flavors or spices can also enhance the flavor of the drink. For example, combine ¾ oz. of cinnamon syrup and steamed milk in a cappuccino cup and then spoon on froth.

    Desserts

    • Instead of whipped cream, use soy milk froth as a garnish on dessert cakes and cookies. The extra ingredient will also add a new texture and flavor option to the dessert. Use flavored syrups, such as cinnamon, vanilla or even raspberry, to give the foam a heightened flavor. To make about 1 cup of raspberry soy milk foam, combine 1 tsp. of soy protein powder, 1/3 cup of soy milk, and 1/3 cup of raspberry syrup. Steam the ingredients together and serve immediately for a sweet, fruity addition to any pastry.

    Blended Drinks and Tea

    • Soy milk froth is a good addition to blended drinks such as smoothies or daiquiris. It also can be added to teas, whether hot or cold, as a flavorful topping. One popular spin on the standard combination is to add soy milk to bubble tea, which is a traditional Taiwanese tea made from black tea, soy milk, tapioca pearls and honey. Add lemongrass or ginger foam to the tea for an exotic flavor profile.
