Understand Where Emotional Stress Begins

Understand Where Stress Comes From: Identify the root of your particular stress.
Realizing that most problems are preventable is key in discovering new ways to promote positive emotions in yourself.
When one is successful in finding ways to prevent emotional stress, or fixing one that currently exists, it is stored in the brain for future reference.
That way next time a similar situation arises, your mind recognizes this and prevents stress from ever taking shape.
Facing Emotions Head On: When you have no choice but to tackle emotional stress head on, it is always a good idea to distance yourself immediately from the source of distress.
When you take a step back from the problem, you see more clearly any opportunity that exists to guide you down the correct path.
When you are consumed by the problem and refuse to move from it, then you will have a very difficult time solving the problem.
The only one who can conquer your emotions is yourself.
Stand Your Ground: Do not allow others to emotionally rule you.
This means that no matter how strong we think we are emotionally, there is usually at least one person in our life that seems to hold emotional claim over us at any given time.
Parents are definitely a good example of emotional ruling.
They tend to treat us like lifelong children and somehow always know best.
With all due respect to parents, they may cause more problems by behaving this way, then if they allowed themselves to accept their baby is an adult and has the power to feel however they choose.
Your Life, Your Time: Usually our lives are governed by the people and things in them.
That's right they are no longer controlled by the individual.
If you choose to get married and have kids, then you have serious responsibilities guaranteed, and your life is now governed by the system you set up for yourself because you have a family.
This does not mean that your life and your emotions are no longer your own, it just means that you must find the most rewarding means necessary to become emotionally stable.
You must carve out a slot of time in your day to step back and distance yourself from your life, even if you do not feel that you need distance from your family and friends and work, or whatever life consists of for you.
Make Time: You must believe this time has a purpose especially if it is not obvious.
This reason for this is because the mind needs a minute to refresh all of its data, for the good of you and your family.
The mind is where all of our emotions and feelings are first generated, so if you do not give it time to process information, you are just cramming it in, day in and day out without any real perspective of the bigger picture.
The big picture is to live the way YOU want, where you want, and with whomever you choose.
When these ideas are cut off or hindered by someone or something, inevitably we will become emotionally stressed.
You deserve to have whatever you want.
