  1. Shouting or swearing
  2. The deliberate spreading of malicious rumors about a person
  3. Constant criticism
  4. Continually dismissing or belittling a person's ideas or opinions
  5. Attempting to isolate someone from normal communication and socializing
  6. Attempting to undermine someone's work, or to hamper their work, sometimes with false information or by withholding information
  7. Physical abuse, threats, or intimidation
  8. Taking away work responsibilities with no good reason, to create a feeling of uselessness
  9. Interruptions and intrusions, such as stalking or pestering
  10. Assigning unreasonable duties or workload which are unfavorable to one person (in a way that creates unnecessary pressure)
These things obviously lower workers' morale and can create mental and physical problems for employees.
In addition to reducing productivity and causing absenteeism, bullying can contribute to high employee turnover and health concerns.
