People usually commit mistakes in associating a slim body to fitness. Although this is half-true, it doesn't automatically mean that a slim body is fit and healthy. A body is the extension of our mind; our character is somehow reflected by our body. Most people are conscious about their body because it has big effects on their personality. A person with a perfect fit and healthy body is often associated with being responsible.

Most people believe that diet is the sole factor of fitness, like skipping meals, diet plans to get the weight and body shape as they want. Unfortunately, all their efforts are usually being wasted. A fit body is an epitome of a healthy lifestyle. It requires cooperation from all areas of a mind and body. It means good and healthy habits and a well disciplined mind to become successful.

Achieving fit and healthy body requires holistic change in the lifestyle. However, diet and physical exercise are perfect places to start the shifting to a healthier lifestyle.

Diet is not a simple area to change or modify. Although everyone knows that a person needs to eat fresh and healthy foods, it is not so easy to do. Most people "live to eat," not the other way around which is, "eat to live". People who live to eat are usually uncontrollable on the dining tables. They commit gluttony while being guilty of eating too much pleasurable toxics such as fats, too much salt and too much of sugar.

Many people don't know the reason behind the need for a good diet. Some people just cannot resist the pleasure of eating excessively, especially fatty and health risk foods. Many people are "living to eat"-- they seek pleasure from food and forget that it should be the other way around.

Diet is the locomotors activities. The physiological needs of our body require exercise, regular burning of excess calories and fats. Those, once accumulated may result to severe diseases such as cardiac diseases and the like.

On the other hand, as important as diet is exercise or physical activity. Exercise is a requirement of our body. It needs to work and burn excessive calories and fats. It helps in the unloading of stress for our psychological wellbeing.

For about 45 - 1 hour a day, a regular jogging can give you much benefits such as healthy heart, fit body, and fresh mind. Cardiovascular activity such as jogging, walking and the like helps in the blood circulation and oxygen distribution around different parts of the body. A regular physical activity gives more benefits; it only requires effort and time.

With strong determination and serious discipline, weight loss, fat loss, and a fit and healthy body are possible. It only requires mind and body cooperation and a smooth jazzy healthy lifestyle. And in a span of time, it is possible to achieve the dream body shape.

Anyone who wants to attain a healthy and fit body must keep in mind that it is more than just simple diet and exercise. It is a shift in lifestyle, in attitudes; and it will not happen overnight. It will take a span of time and the effects are gradual. Yet in time, you will feel a great difference in your life.

For those who like to have a fit, strong, healthy body, keep in mind: "no pain, no gain." Hard work will always result to great things. Even the obese can become really sexy and healthy.
