How To Inspire Your Clients To Take Action On Your Email

33
The hard work crafting your informative emails to your clients and potential clients will not pay off unless you remember these important factors:

Inform and Educate -- Each new subscriber should be informed about what to expect and educated on your list and how it works. Do you send out notices about new blog posts? Tell them. Do you sometimes recommend other people's products and information? Tell them. Are you going to send something out once a week, once a day, or something else? Tell them!

Standout Subject Lines -- Get your potential clients to open your email. If you want to get more clients this is an important aspect, nothing else matters if no one opens the email. If they do not read it, they cannot act on it. Think hard about what your subject lines are going to be and make sure that they match what is inside. Tip: Use your potential clients name in the subject line. Your autoresponder software knows how!

Personalize and Segment -- If you want a potential client to feel really special make sure that they are on the right list and that you use their name. You would not want to keep emailing a client about buying your success coaching plan when they already bought it. Using their name in the email, as well as making sure you are not marketing items they aren't interested in will go far in inspiring your clients to take action.

The Call To Action -- In marketing this is probably one of the most important aspects of any copy you write. If you fail to ask your list to take advantage of your coaching plan, how will they know what to do? To get more customers you have to ask them to do something. Sign up for this class, sign up for that webinar, participate in this discussion, buy this book... whatever it is, you have to get real specific with your list. Not only that tell them how to do it and after that you must tell them when to do it. Preferably, now!

Tell them what they're missing -- Oftentimes you'll have some subscribers who never click on anything, so the best way to deal with this is to bring up directly them their lack of participation in something they signed up to do! You can make them into a new segment so that you can address these harder to inspire potential clients in a different way. Tell them what they are missing by not participating and you might get a few to finally act.

Another important aspect in making sure that all of these ideas are working is to make sure you are looking at your metrics. Who is opening the emails, who are not. How many clicks do you get on one subject line type verses another? Testing everything you do, and paying attention to your return on investment (ROI) will go far in helping you become very successful at attracting new clients.
