Discover Cool New Cars For 2012
Next year, there will be many new cars for 2012 in which people can anticipate. Some of these vehicles are very fast, packed with extra horsepower. Many are extremely fuel-efficient, saving money on gas. Though they are not the flying cars we all looked forward to when we were children, these vehicles are still futuristic.
One of these vehicles people can anticipate is the 2012 Honda Civic. This automobile has a few awesome variants - sedan, coupe, a natural gas powered one, and the go to hybrid vehicles. Honda promises that the fuel economy on these vehicles could be as small as 40 mpg on the highway. This is is extremely exciting, as the price of gas is not going down anytime soon.
The Ford Mustang Boss 302 is also something people look forward to. With 444 hp, one can expect this vehicle to pack a punch. Other features this vehicle have are suspension modifications, firmer springs and bushings, adjustable struts and shocks, larger anti-roll bars, and even stronger brakes. This car is cute with a short throw six speed gearbox.
In extremely small vehicles, the Toyota Scion is another thing to look forward to. The car can fit three adult sized humans, and has a space designed just for a child's car seat. The exterior of the car looks pretty cool, a perfect combination of boxy and sleek, but with smooth, rounded edges. The automobile is only 90 hp, but it is expected to get up to 50 miles per gallon on the freeway. This vehicle is only 6.5 feet long, able to fit in any parking space!
If one requires a vehicle with plenty of power, look forward to The Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. This powerful Jeep has 500 hp coming from its 6.4 L hemi V-8. It will perhaps have an eight speed transmission, and it will be frighteningly fast.
Perhaps one of the more different vehicles out there is the Hyundai 2012 Veloster. This car only has three doors, which is how Hyundai was able to cut down on weight, making this car compact and light weight. There are two doors on the passenger side, and just one on the driver's side. Cutting down on weight makes it have excellent fuel economy at 40 mpg max. It's look, sleek and hexagonal, is both aesthetic and futuristic.
The FT-86 sports car is put out by both Toyota and Subaru. The car will have two versions (one for each manufacturer), and will be very light. The Toyota version will be out first, but will be marketed as a Scion FR-S. The Subaru version won't arrive in the US until mid-2012 at the very soonest, if it comes at all. The horsepower should be around 200 to 250 for both vehicles. It also looks very cute, a sort of sports car meets Battle Star Galactica cylon look.
In January of 2012, Camaro's ZL1 (2013 version) will be out. At 550 hp, this engine is highly powerful (hiding Cadillac CTS-V's 6.2 liter V8). This car will be scary-fast, most likely able to go from 0 to 60 in fewer than 5 seconds. This is another exciting example of what to expect from new cars for 2012. It will definitely be a year that will be a good one for cars, and for car enthusiasts everywhere.
