Storms and Strong Winds - Doom, Gloom, and Defeat - What is Going On?

46
It is time to discontinue the thoughts and words coming out of our mouth that continually line up with doom, gloom, and defeat.
If we are to line up with God's word then our words have to line up with His.
Our words must be those that proclaim excellent and true things; those things in God's Word that claim us as more than over-comers and having all of our needs met through the finished work of Jesus Christ and Calvary.
Jesus Christ didn't suffer and die so that we could hurt more; quite the contrary, He suffered and died so that we could have life and have it more abundantly.
We know this because that is exactly what John 10:10 tells us.
Our words are what allows the will of God, John 10:10, to be fulfilled in our present day to day lives.
Proverbs 12:14 declares that a man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth.
According to the Strong's Concordance, this word "good" translated in Hebrew means good, better, well, goodness, goodly, best, prosperity, precious, fine, wealth, beautiful, as well as favor...
plus much more than can be mentioned here.
A basic understanding of this verse of Scripture causes us to realize that good things, as well as prosperity, wealth, and any kind of favor come to us as a direct result of what we say; our words have an impact on the kind of life we will experience.
God's Word declares that the fruit of our mouth, the words that we speak, will be the force utilized to shape our lives.
Throughout the first chapter of Genesis we see God operating in this very way; saying this thing or that, and then the materialization of it coming to pass.
In the Gospels we see Jesus speaking words and those words then causing the desired result to come to pass.
For instance, in Mark 4:29 Jesus spoke to the wind to be still and it is recorded that the wind ceased and there was a great calmness that followed.
When the winds of life come against us Jesus desires we operate in the same manner as He did when faced with a storm and strong winds.
What storms and strong winds are coming against you today? Are they winds of poverty, depression, sickness, or loneliness? Are you experiencing strong winds and storms with respect to your family, your spouse, or your children? Realize that your words can change these things and you can overcome them!
