Warren, MI - Dental Office Uses Social Media to Donate for a Good Cause!
October is known to be a Breast Cancer Awareness month. Susan G. Komen Foundation is the global leader of the breast cancer movement, having invested nearly $1.5 billion since inception in 1982. Most of all, Susan G. Komen Foundation is the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
What makes a local dental office caring and involved in this cause? For Warren Dentistry, located at 30205 Schoenherr Rd. Suite E, Warren, MI 48088 it is using Social Media to attract fans/likes to its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/warrendentistry) and donating to Susan G. Komen Foundation. Why make something ordinary, when it does not have to be? Why not to make the fan page even better and support a good cause at the same time? It all started with an idea. Warren Dentistry is very familiar of types of advertisements that work in the area, but have never looked into Facebook fan page as a great marketing tool and a way to stay in touch with their patients, until last month. The idea was to donate a $1.00 for every new fan/like that the page will get until Oct.31, 2010.
Making it a goal to have 250 likes/fans by the deadline, with only 3 weeks to go – Warren Dentistry's Facebook fan page went to work. Although, short of the goal but defiantly strong, from Oct.10 to Oct.31st, donation amount went from $34 to $101 thanks to the support received by the local Facebook community (Sterling Heights, Warren, Fraser, Roseville and other local residents/Facebook users).
On Nov.1, 2010 Dr. Dhayni donated $101 to Susan G. Komen Foundation in order to support affords to fight and prevent breast cancer. Warren Dentistry is planning to continue its quest to help great local and national causes.
