How I As an American Veteran, Get My Dental Care in Mexico, Because I Save a Ton of Money
I go to Mexico to get my dental work done. I was born in Michigan, and have been in the United States all my life. I was in the navy for 8 years, and while in the service, you are covered by the military dentists. The military does not have anything at least that I know about, that I could afford to get into, and have a regular dentist in the United States.
I basically had no choice, I had some really bad tooth pain, and I did not care, I just wanted it yanked out, and the pain the just go away.
Well, at the time, I did not know anything, and I saw an ad in a San Diego Newspaper, and it was an ad for a Dentist in Mexico. They were advertising that they will come to the boarder, and pick you up, and bring you to their dental facility, and take you back to the boarder when you are done.
I have been going to the same dentist for over 20 years now, and I could not be any more happier still. The only draw back is Mexico has slowly gotten worse and worse with the crime rate, and that last time I went, it was advisable that we don't go if we don't have to, but I went anyway. I got even better service, because the were not as packed as they usually are, and it's usually all Americans in there when I go.
It is a family type dental business. They have about 12 or so people that work their. Just like in the states, they speak English, have all the dental stuff that looks just the same as any town in California. I have taken about 6 different people with me over the years, to the dentist I go to. I don't have any affiliation with them, I just have been going for many many years, and it's geared towards Americans really. They have free soda machine, free newspapers, the tv in the waiting room is in English.
Here is a price that they charge in Mexico for the dentist in Tijuana, and you should shop around and compare prices, and this is just the price they advertise in there brochure:

This is not an endorsement for any dental agency, just the price I was quoted, and most other dentists in the area would charge around the same price, so best to shop around. Most of these dentists have websites set up, telling you how to get to them, or a number you can call.
I've never had a problem going to Mexico to get dental work. I can't speak any Spanish, just English, and I've walked every time to the dentist. The last time I went, I used the taxi, and it went smoothly.
