Money is not evil it's the love of it that'll cause evil works.
There is nothing wrong with having money the Word of God says that He causes us to profit so He doesn't mind us having money He just doesn't won't us obsessed by it.
So how do we avoid becoming obsessed with money? Well, we should take stock in what's important to us other than money like our Family, Friends and the Church.
These are important things and they should rank higher in our lives than money.
What happens if the money is gone? We still will need our Family and Friends beside us and a note of caution, money is like having wings it will fly away if we don't use it wisely.
What if we get sick? Money will not stand beside us but our Family, Friends and Christians will.
Money can not comfort us when we're hurting.
How many times has either of us called up money on the phone for comforting words? No we call upon Friends and Family so it shouldn't be tops in our lives.
The Lord once revealed this to me just because it is new doesn't mean its best.
People will spend a lot of money on new things like cars just because it's new not because it's best because they are obsessed with spending money.
We can simply avoid this by simply considering what is best.
We can avoid being obsessed with money by being thankful and appreciative of what we have and if we will do that then we won't be going out and buying things that we don't need and never will use.
Another way to avoid being obsessed with money is to be a Giver.
The Bible tells us to Tithe and to help the poor.
When our fists are closed nothing can enter in.
If we are obsessed with money how can God bless us with Spiritual Gifts like Love, Joy, Peace and Contentment? We can also avoid being obsessed with money by realizing that true happiness comes from within, just because we have money it doesn't make us happy if we're not joyful in heart.
Yes money will pay for us to travel and see the Sites but if misery is in our hearts it'll be there with us seeing the Sites.
Having money is good in its proper place but if not then our lives can be miserable and really we're probably be better off without it.
