How to Feel Better
Everyone has times when they are discouraged, depressed, fearful, or anxious. Sometimes, even for the happiest of people, life just sucks. For those times, you need to discover how to feel better. Guess what? There are lots and lots of ways that will help you to do that. Some are easy; some require a little more thought. You simply need to make the effort!
HAVE FUN!
Do you remember what it was like to have fun when you were a kid? I'll bet it was simple things like playing outside with your friends, riding your bike, fishing, or drawing and coloring pictures. The simple things in life are usually the best things when it comes to having fun. Consider the following suggestions:
Make your own list of all of the things you can think of that bring you joy, satisfaction or contentment. If you really try, you can come up with a long list of things. Simply by thinking about it and making your list, you will start to cheer up.
The key to feeling better is to find something to do that will make you change how you feel right now. It requires time, effort and energy. If you can't be bothered or are too wrapped up in your misery, then you are doing yourself a terrible disservice.
Life is far too short to be miserable if you can do something to change that misery into something positive and happy. Most of the time, no matter how bad things are, you CAN make yourself feel better. Find your inner child and remember what it was like to laugh just for the heck of it.
