How to Flash Fry Without Yeast
- 1). Heat the oil in the frying pan on high heat. When it begins to smoke it is ready. Turn on the exhaust on your stove to help clear the air.
- 2). Fill one dish with buttermilk and one dish with the whole wheat flour and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix the flour, salt and pepper so the salt and pepper are evenly distributed in the flour. Get these ready while the oil is heating.
- 3). Dip each fish fillet in the buttermilk then dredge in in the flour mixture until it's completely coated.
- 4). Put the fish in the hot oil and flash fry it for 30 seconds to one minute on each side.
- 5). Place a paper towel on a plate. Remove the fish from the hot oil with the slotted spoon and lay it on the paper towel to soak up excess oil.
