How to Make Foam on Coffee
- 1). Fill a glass jar with 1/4 cup of milk. You can use whatever type of milk that you want, but a milk with some fat, such as a 2 percent milk, will make a creamier foam than low-fat or skim milk.
- 2). Close the lid on the jar and shake the jar forcefully until you can see that the milk volume has almost doubled. You will also see air bubbles in the jar.
- 3). Remove the jar's lid and place the jar into the microwave.
- 4). Microwave on high for 30 seconds.
- 5). Remove the jar from the microwave carefully. If you just want the foam, then use a spoon to remove the foamed part of the milk that is near the top of the jar, and gently place it on top of your coffee. If you want to make a cappuccino, pour some of the hot milk into the coffee, after which you can place some of the foam on top.
