This article is about how to about how to fit in walking in daily lives to improve your overall health at the workplace.

With the busy lives that you have, it's hard to find the time to work out. The best thing to do is to squeeze in mini-workouts as much as possible throughout the day, blending, and integrating them into your daily life so it won't interfere with your daily lives. Fitting exercise in your day may seem easier than you think with these 5 ways to squeeze in walking in your day.

1. Park Farther Away

Parking a block or two away, will force you to trek to your work and then force you to walk back afterwards. If it is raining bring an umbrella.

2. Get off one bus stop Earlier

Why not get off earlier to check out the shops and stores along the way to work? You can also apply the same thing after work, walk to the bus stop over if you're short on time at work.

3. Walk to your Co-worker's cubicle

With everything so close, you forgot to even get up and talk to your co-worker just a cubicle down. Instead, most people call or write an e-mail when you can simply get up and talk to your co-worker face to face. This will get the blood flowing in your legs again, from all the time in a fixed position.

1. Walk to your Co-worker's cubicle

Lots of people at work like to take a smoke to relieve some work stress. In reality, that same time can be used to take a 10 minute walk around the building. You can use that same time to do something healthy for yourself instead.

2. Make Good Use of the Stairs

Switching over to the stairs can make a huge difference for you. If you just used the stairs everyday instead of the escalator or elevator, you can lose about an extra pound a month! 12 pounds in a year! If there are a lot of flights up the stairs you can get off a few floors earlier or walk all the way down the stairs when you get off work.

All these things listed above, the stairs, bus stop, parking farther away, will force you to squeeze in some exercise everyday. If you don't have time to workout 45 minutes or an hour a day, break them up into 3, 5, 10 minute blocks, walking here and there. In the end, once you add the time up, it's just as good as a continuous 1 hr workout.
