Five Great Horse Riding Games Charged with Fun
Games on horse's back are enjoyed by people of all ages and genders, whether they are novice or professionals. But games which are especially for children use ponies because they are shorter in height than stallions. There are amusing activities meant for couples. Group or team stallion sports are also famous at international level. Below mentioned is a list of five such fun-exciting sports which is liked and played all over the world.
Egg and spoon race – As the name suggest, every child is given a spoon and an egg. Their task is to balance an egg on the spoon holding it in hand or mouth and arrive at the finish line riding on their ponies. Whoever touches the finish line first with the egg and spoon intact is declared winner.
Pairs race – It is similar to the relay sports played in athletics. It is a couple or two-player game where one rider rides horse from one end and reaches the other end where his/her team member is waiting. The first rider gets down and the other player gets up and rides the mare to the other end. The team which completes the process first will be crowned as champion.
Musical Horse – What a slice of fun this game is! This activity works like Musical Chairs. Ground pole pony –parking lot are created parallel at a distance of 8 feet from each other. The children have to ride the horse when the music starts and must to what is asked for like walk; canter; halt; reverse; circle etc. When the music stops the riders must try to get to the nearest ground pole. No reverse-direction move is allowed. As there will be one less pole than the number of players, the one which is left out will leave the game. The last sustainer will be the winner. One team has to score points by throwing in the small white plastic ball into opposite team's goal post. It's like soccer played on horses with a hockey type stick called mallet.
