How To Write For Expression And Profit
Who has not read or heard the poem: "I Bargained With Life For A Penny, And Life Would Pay No More.
" The bard expounds further: 'had you asked more of life, life would have willingly paid.
' Truly, the pen is a powerful weapon, able to despair or inspire to the depths and heights of intellect.
From writings, we learn: each should bargain for more out of life and unravel life's most irksome dilemma, peace of mind.
We need only ask to receive! In quest of reward and excellence, we should set a goal, whether searching for material or spiritual comforts.
While these are mere options, each can be simultaneously pursued.
The key to success is diligence.
If one desires success in the writing field, he must first be an avid and diverse reader; where else can one become familiar with language: the world of archived expressions, sentence structure, punctuation for effect, expertise in a field of interest, and a diverse knowledge base to capture the interest of others.
As Yogi Berra might have said, 'Language is a good way to communicate.
' He did say, "What goes around, comes around.
" From Yogi philosophy we might expect: 'only good writing can produce good reading.
' How you prepare for the writing task determines its acceptability.
Can the less-read adequately address our universe, quantum mechanics, logic and reason, philosophy, religion viability, and the underlying cause of societal discord in our present world? The writer must strive for excellence in every penned endeavor, to surpass mediocrity, and to inspire readership.
The great philosopher Spinoza laid out the obvious in his astute observation, "Excellence is as rare as it is difficult.
" Difficult as it may be, it is a goal worthy of its reward.
Rare is the individual committed to excellence in the field of metaphysics, the intangible, as it might pertain to monotheism viability, a question unanswerable to scientific observation - lost in a world filled with widespread unrest, religion animus, and unwarranted stress caused by blind and unreasoning conflict between theist and deist devotion or atheist denial.
In this area, writers can make serious inroads via dissemination of information from the logic of evidence rather than the opinion of emotion; for, every cause exhibits its debate extremes, much as the unsubstantiated positions embraced in atheist/theist conflicts: neither orientation exhibiting logic from the only available basis to settle disagreement.
It becomes the lover of prose, then, to research the feasibility of desire and emotion versus facts in determining the outcome of biblical cabal, symbols and numbers, parables, and other purposely camouflaged writings.
Much research has already been accomplished, deriding the opportunism and mindlessness in exploitative and opinionated calls to an uninformed and hapless populace.
Strangely enough, we can bring theist and atheist to agreement.
In this area, lies a need for innovative evaluations to induce writings profitable for all, but not solely for profitability.
We can come to terms with theist and atheist dissent.
They are both right by default, yet through no persuasion thus far presented.
Yet, a persuasive analysis of evidence is already penned for the serious reader.
Syllogistic reasoning forms a distinct difference between deductive excellence and the lesser emotion-based opinion.
We are all victims, but we also have the intellect to overcome our victimization.
