The Benefits Of Activating The Attitude Of Contentment
Exercising the act of being content benefits you and results in charting the course of your day towards a successful one.
When the choice is made to be content, positive thoughts flow, this act reduces your stress level, improves your outlook, and your body relaxes.
Right where you're at if you will activate the attitude of being a contented person for today, you would not just have an amazing experience, but one that you will look to repeat again and again, because of the amazing effects of exercising this gift will bring to you.
Yes, activating this virtue is a gift that gives back again and again.
Not saying that you give in to what you don't like and just pretend that you're content - let me share my recent experience! I'm using the TP in the hotel I'm at and the thought came "this is sure rough".
Immediately following that thought I said "but, I have TP to use" and pictured what it would be like without any:-) I popped a bagel in the toaster and realized it was a bit stale - but I have something to eat.
I burnt half of the bagel, but I still had the other half to eat.
I returned from a trip to the gym, and all three of my access cards to my room were deactivated.
However, I had the ability, the strength to return to the front desk and have those cards re-activated.
We have the power to activate, de-activate and re-activate an attitude of contentment.
I know I had the choice to react in a negative way, but I'm glad I didn't because it caused an attitude of contentment to rise.
I've never experienced hunger, and I get to eat whenever I want, so if my food isn't the freshest or if part is burnt I still get to eat.
I learnt a valuable lesson today that I intend to build on for the rest of my life - there's something wonderfully freeing and peaceful when the attitude of contentment is in play.
