Psychotherapy is the handling of mental and emotional problems through Psychological procedures. A psychotherapist is someone who is trained to deal with mental and emotional disorders. A Psychotherapist will guide you on how to deal with stress problems and day to day problems we find difficulty in coping with. A Psychotherapist will help you deal with your problems but will not prescribe any medication.
How do I know I need a Psychotherapist? If you are feeling too stressed out and you are having a problem adjusting to the burden at work and having to deal with your spouse or children after work, or if you have been depressed you need to see a Psychotherapist. Psychotherapists also help us deal with OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorders).
Choose a Psychotherapist you are comfortable with and would not mind sharing your intimate details with. It is imperative that you trust your therapist if you are genuinely seeking help. The person you choose should have at least a decade of experience in the counseling field.

Once in Therapy your Psychotherapist will respect all the information you give him and will keep everything confidential. It is unethical for him to divulge any information about you to anyone else. So you do not have to worry about anyone else coming to know about your visitations.
