Developing your psychic skills (Part 1)
From what i have read so far one of the main things about developing your psychic skills or Higher Sensory Perception (HSP) i prefer to this name as it makes it accessible to everyone. We all have senses, some are more developed than others, for me mine is touch. For others it may be sight or sound or any of our five senses. By working with your senses it is possible to increase the sensitivity to include things of a higher vibration. Being able to see the energy field surrounding a person or to feel it.
But one of the main skills to master first is to clear your mind of thoughts. This may sound easy, but i can assure you, its not. Why? Well because if you where in a large room with many people talking, you wouldn't be able to hear yourself think let alone anything or anyone else. So if you are trying to hear your guides or the thoughts of someone else you will need to control your mind.
Your thoughts can also change your reality around you, by being able to focus and maintain a thought attached to a positive thoughts or tied to a strong emotion such a love, gives us the ability to control our future. Mediation is our primarily way to clear our minds, and allowing us to condition our minds to allow us control of what ever the task is at hand.
From my experience i have also found it good, to try and be aware of your mind at all times. What i mean by that is, if you are day dreaming and your think of someone and then they call. Try and remember how your mind felt, at the time of that thought.
Also when I find that when i have finished a good meditation, with absence of thought or at least very controlled. Try and count yourself out of that state and give myself a control command. This is done by telling yourself to 'remember how you feel, how relaxed your body feels and feel the quietness of your mind Tell yourself you are going to count from 1 to 5 by time i reach 5 your will be fully aware and energized.
But also include a control command, that will help you return to this state much quicker. This can be done by telling yourself, when i am relaxed and i say 'Return me home' to return my mind to this stat. Then beginning to count yourself out of your meditation. This is very basic, but it is a simple form of self-hypnosis.
Try and give up sometime for yourself to do your meditation, find a quite spot. In a park out of the way or at home. If your at home find a spot in the house that you love. Make it your place, if you live with other family members, then you may need to explain that you need some quite time. Or even look in the local paper or on-line you may find there are many meditation groups in your area. This is always good for getting help if you find it difficult.
Find a meditation that you like there are many ways to meditate, find the one that suites you. Personally i love listening to a repetitive mantra. You can use breathing exercise also, really anything that you can do that helps you to relax. I idea is to be absent of thought, so use external things (stimulus) like sound, smell or light to focus your attention on, if you find your mind is chattering then focus on your external stimulus again.
I found this also a useful trick to get my mind of negative thoughts, that is if you have a negative thought click your fingers and sing or hum to yourself. Then center your thoughts again and think of positive things. After a while you will find it will get easier as your brain rewires itself and you will find yourself thing positively rather than negatively.
